…..some of the things we do to make our school special for everyone:

• We teach a broad, deep and enriched National Curriculum with a range of exciting activities, visitors and events to inspire our children to love learning
• As a Church of England school, we value learning about our God and about stories from the Bible. We also value learning about other faiths.
• As a Church of England school, we value the importance of our vision being deeply rooted in the Good Samaritan parable from the Bible.
• We love going on many trips which are linked to our learning in class. We visit places of interest such as local museums, heritage sites, parks, places of worship and art galleries
• We have a rich after school club programme with activities such as football, lego, judo, art, music, dance, athletics, cookery and homework club
• We have Enrichment Hour each Friday when children sign up to different activities: drama, knitting, origami, knitting, puppet-making, art & craft, board games and sports are some of the activities available
• We have a BIG WRITE each Friday during which our children produce  extended pieces of writing on a variety of topics
• Our children enjoy participating in art projects each term with highly-skilled artists: we have recently designed and created a Grayson Perry-styled papier-mâché pot around a friendship theme; we have designed iconic buildings and traditional tale characters in ceramic workshops and we some classes explored portraiture and created large canvases, in acrylic paint, depicting our written narratives, just to mention a few!
• We have Topic Weeks through the year. Last year we had an Explorer’s Week, a Science Week, a Book Week, a Refugee Week and a Performing Arts Week
• We have whole school special days:  we have a British Heart Foundation skipping day each year and this year we have spent a day exploring space inside a pop-up planetarium
• We teach Spanish: from Year 2 all children learn Spanish and Year 6 go on a residential trip to Barcelona where they practise the Spanish they have learned
• We have a specialist music teacher to take all children for class music and singing
• We have a specialist PE teacher who teaches all children from nursery to Y6 during two PE sessions each week
• We have support staff who support learning, assisting 'new to English' pupils, those needing extra consolidation and those who could benefit from extension opportunities
• We prioritise pastoral support and each class has a regular weekly circle time. We have trained Learning Mentors who will support the children through emotional and social difficulties.   Additionally, we work with outside agencies to support our children: CAMHS; Early Help; Hidden Harm; Play Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
• We give specific encouragement to high achievers to advance their learning and are assisted in this by Bonas McFarlane, an education and tutorial company, who send regular tutor volunteers to offer extra learning support, and by Thomas School Foundation who also provide volunteers, particularly to high achievers. Each year some of our KS2 children are invited to participate in Classics workshops at St Paul's School, Barnes.
• We have a comprehensive newsletter each week with blogs written by the children, depicting learning and projects during the week, and giving useful information to parents
• We have the support of a very active PTA which meets every two weeks
• we have a breakfast club available each morning from 7:30-8.45
• We have a school garden and children work in the garden with our school gardener, on a rota basis, each week. We grow vegetables, plant flower seeds and herbs, harvest the produce and learn about the plants and animals growing and living in our school! Some of our crops: tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, lettuce, garlic, marrow and beans. 
• Our children transition to wonderful secondary schools: Chelsea Academy; Holland Park and Christ's Hospital, to name a few.
